Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Portability / Office Manager
JHA is seeking a highly qualified Portability Billing Specialist and Office Manager with emphasis on Portability. Job responsibilities are the following:
Portability – Duties
a) Initially receive paperwork and make folders with correct housing authority identified.
b) Setup new Housing Authority’s information/account in billing system.
c) Receives all checks, makes copies, looks up Housing Authority associated for the payment and makes a deposit input sheet to be used with bank deposit.
d) Looks up each voucher listed on all checks and direct deposits and compares to billing.
e) Posts all cash receipts and matches checks to the computer printout.
f) Ensures billing is done timely.
g) Supervises Portability Specialist to ensure all elements of Portability are carried out according to compliance standards as documented in PIH and CFR regulations.
h) Oversees receivables to ensure they are paid on time.
i) Coordinates absorption of transfer tenants when necessary.
Office Manager – Duties
a) Oversight of employees.
b) Maintaining sick and annual leave book.
c) Assists Executive/Deputy Director with small procurements when necessary.
d) Works with Executive/Deputy Director in planning improvements to administrative office and procedulres.
e) Orders and maintains office supplies to ensure JHA has the supplies that are needed for day to day operations.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited school or university. Nan McKay, NAHRO, or some other certified certification in Occupancy and Rent Calculation is desirable, but not mandated.
